Paying for services in China can be challenging due to various restrictions and complexities in the financial system. To ensure a smooth and reliable payment process, we recommend two trusted methods: Wise and bank transfer and an additional four solutions for optimal flexibility. These options are designed to offer you the best combination of efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and ease of use.


⭐️ Option 1: Wise (direct payment to landlord)


🏦 Option 2: Bank transfer in EUR (direct payment to agency via Revolut)

  • Easiest solution with traditional bank transfer from your bank with payment in € directly, please note 7.50% extra fee applicable to cover the bank charges and FX variations from our side.

  • If chose bank transfer, we will convert the amounts from CNY to € and add 7.50% on top as service fee to cover the bank fees and FX variations.

  • Pay the landlord and our agency directly in CNY with no extra costs using this solution.

  • Create an Alipay account by downloading the Alipay application on your phone and add your bank card details.

  • Pay directly by scanning our QR code on Alipay:


πŸ’΄ Option 4: Cash

  • This solution only works if you are already in China and is not applicable to booking in advance.

  • Pay the landlord and our agency using cash (CNY is preferred).


πŸ’³ Option 5: Visa & Mastercard using POS terminal

  • This solution only works if you are already in China and is not applicable to booking in advance.

  • Payment at our office in Shanghai using Visa or Master Card to pay in CNY.

  • Limits may apply based on your credit / debit card type.

  • Please note 5% surcharge fee is payment by Visa or Master Card.


πŸ’± Option 6: Money Exchange

  • As all payments should be made in CNY to the landlord and our agency, you can exchange your € for CNY asking some friends, currency exchange community, etc. and ask them to send to CNY to the landlord / our agency directly.

  • Please note that Here Real-Estate Agency is not liable if you experienced any issues using this solution (scams, high FX rates, etc.), please only do money exchange with trusted individuals.
